A fulfilling and varied role for a Fully or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA, this could ideally suit someone who has experience of consolidating Group Accounts or auditing Group Companies.
The role will be predominantly supporting the Group monthly consolidation and year end reporting process, but will be varied to include internal audits of our UK companies as well as ad hoc reports for Group Directors. This role may suit someone who has an auditing background or worked within a Group Finance Team, however, this is not essential for the right candidate.
Based at our Group HQ in Stoke-on-Trent on a day to day basis, with c.4 days per month at the offices of the UK Group subsidiaries performing internal Audits, the UK companies are predominantly within 20 minutes of the head office and within the local Stoke-on-Trent area. Experience of Adaptive or another consolidation package would be an advantage, but not essential.
Your main undertaking will be supporting the Group Accountant in preparing the Group Monthly consolidation with key tasks being:
- Monthly Consolidation support in managing the group consolidation data and uploading to consolidation software
monthly review of group company accounts
analysis of information
- Half and Full Year Group Consolidation for statutory reporting purposes Preparation of information for the auditors
Providing data to answer auditors questions
Collating disclosure information for statutory purposes
Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts
- Year-end work to supply information and data for corporation tax computations
