The role is both varied and interesting. It brings together aspects of finance, commerce, international trade, logistics, demand planning, foreign exchange, markets and purchasing.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Client’s SAP Procurement system contains the correct data and data structures so that key raw materials and services can be purchased through a network of hundreds of factories throughout the world.

Additionally, this role leads to participation in improvement and optimisation projects designed to deliver automation, enhanced information, and business intelligence reporting.

This role is based in Foots Cray, London Borough of Bexley and situated within a modern office with free parking on site!

The successful candidate will join a team of 15 who collectively manage the procurement processes, data and infrastructure globally.

The type of information includes material prices and discount structures, INCO terms and payment terms as well as other key supplier data such as addresses, contract details and tax ID

This is a complex, varied and busy role, requiring sustained periods of focus and attention to detail.

Each member of the team is assigned a mentor who will guide you through the process of acquiring the key skills and knowledge necessary to master and broaden your contribution within the team.

On a broad level the role includes the analysis of supplier price lists, vendor legal structures, other commercial information and accurate construction of data frameworks which are entered into an SAP system

This task requires the use of various e-tools including excel to an intermediate level and training will be provided in this as in all other areas of activity

Progress in learning and contribution is monitored periodically and regular feedback is provided both formally and informally, this will identify any needs and enable you to receive the best possible training and guidance

The ideal candidate will be numerate with a sound work ethic, clarity in communication and a willingness to learn and progress

Hours are 08:30 to 5PM with one hour for lunch

Occasional bank holiday working is required

26 days holiday

Salary: £22,194 per annum
