SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Shirley (Solihull) based business in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant. This is a brand new role, reporting to the Finance Director and working on a hybrid basis within an extremely welcoming and supportive business.

We are seeking an individual who is ambitious and keen to progress within finance as study support and development is key here.

Duties will include:

– Weekly cashflow reporting – debtors, creditors, profit and loss, daily balances, cashflow, sales forecasting, remittances, closing bank balance
– Support the month end process
– Journal postings
– Processing invoices
– Credit control
– Sales and purchase ledger
– Bank reconciliation
– Perform balance sheet reconciliations
– Manage fixed asset register
– Quantify and submit VAT returns
– Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
– Pricing analysis

– Good communication and organisational
– Team player
– Relevant experience in a similar role and looking to progress
