Cost and Management Accountant
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, study assistance if required to finish professional exams, free on site parking and early leave on a Friday!
A newly created position has arisen for a Cost and Management Accountant to work in a family owned £15m turnover business operating in the food sector. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role may suit a qualified by experience or part qualified accountant who is a really good all rounder and has a hands on approach.
The role will report into the Management Accountant and work closely with Managing Director initially as well as a small, well established accounts team.
Product costing, stock and inventories, preparation of management accounts, fixed assets register, close liaison with the NPD, sales, production and technical teams, prepayments and accruals, VAT, provide cover for payroll as and when required.

The successful candidate may be part qualified or a qualified by experience accountant with sound broad based skills and a focus on costing, management accounts, stocks and inventories. If part qualified, study assistance may be provided to complete your professional qualification for CIMA/ACCA.
Excellent people skills are essential as there is significant involvement with the NPD, sales, production and technical teams and the ability to relay financial information to non finance staff is vital.
