Finance Assistant 23K – East Renfrewshire 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and update the recording of invoices on the Finance system
• Ensure customers have made payments prior to work being carried out
• Ensure all Finance information and records are accurate
• Ensure expense claims are completed correctly and accurately along with necessary receipts
• To organise and make payment for travel arrangements
• To ensure purchase orders are raised for all services
• To liaise with department managers regarding any purchase invoice queries
• To identify and highlight any discrepancies in figures or information within the business
• To produce weekly reports and updates on completed works
• Ensuring that the Big Change System is kept up to date at all times. This will include;

• To monitor shared mailbox
• To carry out clerical tasks such as printing, scanning and letters
• To keep and up to date record of fleet data

To be considered: 

• Qualification in Accounting
• Minimum two years MS Office and accounting software experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the confidential nature of data
• High attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Time management
• Methodical and analytical approach to work
• Problem solving skills
• Team player and ability to coordinate with coworkers
