This is an exciting, newly created role within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day to day running of the Finance Office and duties will be varied. You will look after the daily activities surrounding the sales and purchase ledgers; raising sales invoices, making timely supplier payments and undertaking any necessary credit control, as well as dealing with all banking and bank reconciliation matters. To produce monthly debtors’ reports for Directors to ensure timely collection of monies and to optimise cash flow. Month end and year end journals and closing processes, including key control account and inter-company account reconciliations. The role will entail preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and balance sheets, and the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. Maintain and manage the fixed asset register and process monthly payroll journals provided by the outsourced payroll service. Assist with statutory year end accounts, and assist with budget preparation and monitoring. We would expect a person of this calibre to maintain current processes and procedures under review, and to recommend changes in financial processes which might improve efficiency and productivity. The person appointed to this role will be an important member of the Management Team

This role would be suited to an all-round finance professional who is happy to adopt a hands on approach on a day to day basis whilst also undertaking the more technical work, and somebody who is also able to grow with the company and develop themselves professionally in line with company expansion.
