Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a well-established construction-affiliated business in Rotherham as they look to bring in an experienced Accounts Manager to head up the finance department. The role will work closely with the Senior Management Team as well as the wider business to ensure financial information is communicated effectively to help facilitate the delivery of the business strategy.

As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for the financial controls and all financial reporting for the site. You will have overall responsibility for the invoice financing, sales, purchase and nominal Ledgers of the business and must effectively manage the performance of the finance team directly responsible for each of these functions. You be responsible for the production of the Monthly Management Accounting pack as well as annual statutory accounts.

This will be a varied role with duties to include:

* Overall responsibility and sign off of all ledgers
* Management of the invoice financing
* Development and implementation of robust financial controls
* Line management of a team of 3, support and development of the finance department and management accounting team
* Lead the monthly process of reviewing the closing position of the contract balances
* Financial statutory reporting at half year and full year end and preparation of required tax pack
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Manage the external audit process and lead the relationship with the internal group audit team
* Production of the monthly management accounts (Including any related variance analysis)
* Driving continuous improvements for the department

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:

* Qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Accountant (Qualified by experience will also be considered)
* Experience in invoice financing
* Staff management experience
* Experience of maintaining and developing financial controls
* Good technical accounting skills
* Ability to solve problem and initiate improvements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Confident when dealing with senior stakeholders in the business
* Strong Excel skills
* Excellent organisational skills
